The
history of Thailand has been enlivened since the first traces
of the flourishing civilization of the Bronze age's in the prehistoric
village of Ban Chiang, discovered on north east of the country.
Through
the fruitful valleys of the river Mekong, the Monks, the
Khmerses and the Thais deriving from China, populated gradually
the Land today known as Thailand. During the eleventh century, the
Khmerses represented dominant strength.
Their power lasted up to the twelfth century when the Thais
founded the villages of Phayao, Lanna and Sukhothai. Hardly
that
civilization had consolidated, two heads warriors Thais were rebelled
to the Khmers and they founded the first state independent Thai
next to Sukhothai that it means literally "the happiness's dawn".
From Sukhothai the expansion started along the basin of the river
Chao Phraya and the Buddhism Theravada it became soon the most
diffused religion Thai. Sukhothai then suffered a period of decline
and was conquered by the youth and dynamic kingdom of the
Ayutthayas. The dynasty of the Ayutthayas reigned uncontested
in the center of the Thailand and it became the most powerful state
in southeast Asia for 34 reign up to 1767 when it was defeated by
the invasion of the armies Burmese. But it was a brief invasion,
that
in few months King Taksin succeeded in rejecting the Burmese
invasion

King Taksin therefore has built another capital to Thon
Buri and he
let start the period Rattanakosin that still to reigns now.
King Rama I in 1782, the first king of the actual dynasty
Chakri,
founded a new capital on the banks of the river of a village
called
Bangkok (Village of the wild plums). During the following two
centuries, the monarches Chakri King Mongkut (Rama IV) that
he
reigned from the 1851 at 1868, and his child, King
Chulalongkorn
(Rama V) that he reigned from the 1868 at 1910, have
preserved
from the colonization and modernized the country and they are
still
for this today revered.
From 1932 Thailand has become a constitutional
monarchy.
The actual King, Your Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, is the
monarch that has reigned in the world for a longer time and it is
the
more loved by his citizen.
He has devolved his life untiringly to the amelioration of
the
quality of the life of his subjects in Thailand.
